If you ever go to Puncak, do you ever consider of buying Tofu?! Probably not for most, but we recommend you to buy tofu from M. Rahman’s Tofu Factory. It will be a fascinating thing to do in there. The home made tofu factory is well-known by the people around Puncak and Jakarta. The factory is located in a house. There was quite a lot of tourists visiting the site when one of our team members go to the Tofu Factory.

As they heard about the place, the team member wonders what it would be like to eat home-made tofu with soya milk. So they went there with friends and family to enjoy a short holiday break. In contrast, when they went there the home-made soya milk was finished, but they still have some tofu left. The way to their place is called Desa Ciwalen and you have to past through a small and rocky road in order to arrive at the destination.



One of our team associates bought a full rack of high quality tofu for us, with a very cheap price. One rack of tofu is Rp 30,000 which is very affordable price compare to the prices in food stalls. While waiting for the owner to fried the tofu for them, our associates witness the process of how the tofu was made. Finally when the fried tofu is ready, it was time for my friends to taste their first bite. The fried tofu taste extremely delicious, it is soft, fresh and indeed mouth watering. All the members have a great time visiting the tofu factory. They had experienced an unforgettable moment trying M. Rahman’ Tofu.

Pancious Pancake House

Pancake lovers all over Jakarta!!! Have you try Pancious Pancake House?! It’s a well-known pancake house, but just to inform for those who haven’t try it and know it. There are five places around Jakarta which Pancious Pancake House is located: Permata Hijau, Pacific Place Mall, Plaza Indonesia, Mal Kelapa Gading 5, and Mall Taman Anggrek. All Pancious Pancake house in Jakarta are extremely comfortable in every way; it has a unique theme with a combination of red, black, white and brown color. There are plenty of sofas and big tables for family. It is a modern place with a warm atmosphere that will make you feel comfortable dining in there.

Here are some information about the food. There are varieties of food to choose from in the menu such as pancakes, waffles, custard, pasta, burger, grill fish, potatoes, and many more. Recommendation when dining in there are the pancakes, pasta and the drinks. For the sweet pancake, the Blueberry Cheese is a must try one, and for the salty Pancake is the Beef Bacon & Egg. The blueberry cheese is combination of pancake or waffle, ice cream, cheese fudge and blueberry fruits. Where else for the Beef Bacon & Egg Pancake the combination of the pancake or waffle are, beef bacon, mushroom, egg, cheese sauce and mozzarella cheese. Next for the pasta is Smoke beef fettuccini, a mixture of fettuccini pasta, cream, cheese, and smoke beef. Last but not least for the beverages, if you like to share your drinks with a friend or maybe your boyfriend/girlfriend, you can try its Fruit Pick Ice Tea, Fresh Fruit Ice Tea Cocktail, Virgin Mojitos or Ice Mint Tea.



The price of the meal for pancake is range from Rp 20,000 – Rp 50,000. As for the pasta the average price is about Rp 50,000. Drinks are average price about Rp. 25,000.

ShihLin Taiwan Street Snack

For those who live in the city of Jakarta definitely know about ShihLin Taiwan Street Snacks, its crunchy, it’s spicy, and lip-smacking! The famously known deep fried chicken with crispy layers covered in special flour, comes in a spicy flavor which you can add chili powder (light, medium and spicy) or a just a normal one. Although in serves mainly Taiwanese food , it is famous for its chicken. Writing this blog thinking and thinking about the taste of the chicken, makes me hungry.

ShihLin Taiwan Street Snack can be located in Kelapa Gading Mall, Central Park, Taman Anggrek Mall, Pluit Village, Pluit Junction and many more. There are so many branches of the store that you can find around Jakarta. The atmosphere there is very modern, and it has lots of orange, brown and red color. It has a Taiwan street food stall theme, and most of the locations are inside the malls.

Some of the menus that will be recommended for you are, XXL Crispy chicken, Seafood Tempura, and Happy! Rice box Set. Most of the teenagers like to buy the XXLCrispy Chicken which is the food in the picture, the deep fried chicken with sprinkles of chili powder. If you want to eat there for lunch or if you prefer to eat rice, you can buy the Happy! Icebox Set, and Seafood tempura.


The price range starts from Rp 22,000. The average price for the drinks are about Rp 10,000. You wouldn’t want to miss trying the food in this place, if you enjoy eating tempura and deep fried chicken.

Batagor & Siomay Kingsley

There is one famous Batagor & Siomay place in Bandung, one of the team members when there for the first time when he visited Bandung. The team wanted to investigate the place because many people like to talk about it. After deciding to try Batagor Kingsley, he ask his friend to lead the way and help him get there. When he arrived at Batagor Kingsley which is located in Veteran Street No.25, Bandung. There are very limited parking spaces available, so they have to park across the Kingsley.

First arriving there, the place was crowded with people. There is an amazing smell coming from out from the place. As he goes through the menu, there are two types of Batagor one is fried and the other one is soup (after being cut it is put into a clear soup). His recommendation for the food there is the fried Batagor. You can squeeze some lime before you eat the batagor to add a touch of sourness. The first bite was so crunchy he told me; as the smell of the fish that was wrapped in a spring roll skin and deep fried touches his tongue. The peanut sauce was extremely good, that compliment the great taste of the fish.

The location is really nice because it is an open area and Bandung is quite chili in the morning. Sometimes you can enjoy your food while listening to the street singers that appear from time to time. In the location there are many small food stalls, which sells Es Campur, Rujak, Kue Cubit and some other food to be enjoyed. The price is affordable for teenagers; it makes me want to enjoy a plate of fried Batagor there next time, hopefully very soon.

Telaga Seafood Restaurant

Telaga Seafood in Modern Land is one the famous seafood restaurants; its special dishes are seafood cuisine. The way to get there is very easy, because it is located close to Metropolis Town Square. Telaga Seafood Restaurant is also available in Bumi Serpong Damai and Cibubur.

The restaurant atmosphere is very pleasant, it has big space and it is comfortable and soothing. You can enjoy dinner with your friends’ or families’ in Telaga Seafood Restaurant outdoor so you can feel the breeze of wind that will make your dinner special. The restaurant is convenient if you want to bring your family, friends, or a bunch of people. There are varieties of meals to choose from the menu.

When one of the team members went to Telaga Seafood Restaurant with his/her family, they order Crab with Padang Sauce, Fried Squid, Grilled Pete, Kangkung with Shrimp Paste, Grilled Trigger Fish and Sapo Tofu, for their feast. His/ her recommendation of the food there are the Crab, Kangkung and Grilled Tiger fish. The Crab with Padang sauce was extremely juicy, the chef gave them the female Crab with the egg inside and it just tasted so good. The Kangkung was also appetizing, our team members like the Kangkung with Shrimp Paste, it smells good and the Kangkung is fresh. Their favorite is the Grilled Trigger Fish and they especially enjoyed eating it with sweet soy sauce and a twist of chili. The combination was great and they really love that Grilled Fish.


The price for all the food they order was worth Rp 200,000 they spend, which I think is quite affordable price for a family seafood restaurant with a good ambiance. Telaga Seafood Restaurant is a great recommendation for people who enjoy eating great tasting seafood.

Sunrise Noodle

Have ever heard of green noodles?! This food place sell green noodle, it is made my vegetable and usual noodle ingredients. The noodle is homemade and the location of the stall is inside a housing area. The name of the place is Bakmi Sunrise. It is a Chinese food place which serve green healthy noodle, original noodle, kwetiaw, meat ball, rice and many more. There are also plenty of drinks to choose from such yogurt drink, aloe Vera, grass jelly, and many types of tea and others.

The atmosphere of the place is quite big, because it’s in a house, there is no AC but it is not so hot because the area of the housing is surrounded by trees. The sitting area uses plastic chairs and white wooden tables. We can pick whether to sit inside or outside, both places is shady. When the cook is making the food, we can watch it, because they make it outside which is close to the sitting area. As our team eat there, the food was clean and tasty.


Recommendation when eating there are the green healthy noodles, or the flat noodles. The green healthy noodle is the first choice because; it is very delicious and healthy. As for the drinks grass jelly or aloe Vera is our favorite. It is has good combination of sweetness and tastiness, and the best part is it that both drinks nourishes your skin. Important reminder: the place is not HALAL; it means the place uses Pork in the food. But if you consume pork Bakmi Sunrise provide healthy and delicious food. You should try it!!!
The food price is around Rp15,000, and the drinks are mostly bellow Rp 5,000.

Starbucks Coffee

Who doesn’t know Starbucks Coffee?! We think almost everybody knows Starbucks Coffee. We know that Starbucks is famous for its coffee but have you ever try Starbucks Gum?! This gum is one of the best chewing gum on earth; it’s minty and really tasty. The gum attempts to clean the coffee flavor after you drink your coffee. Some people do not like the left over taste after drinking coffee, this gum will removes it. Not only that the gum is naturally and artificially flavored sugar free. In overseas they have several flavors, but in Indonesia only one flavor is available which is peppermint. The gum is quite hard to find is some of the places because it sold out really fast. Even though the gum are most likely to be sold out, you still can purchase it in Grand Indonesia, Setiabudi, Sarina and Senanyan City.

On the other hand, if you haven’t been to Starbucks Coffee before you should try the drinks of coffee. Well-known coffee of Starbucks are its Coffee Latte (ice or hot) and Caramel Macchiato (ice or hot), if you prefer not to have coffee there is also tea such as Chai tea and Mint Tea. For fruity flavor drinks we highly recommend you to try mango slushy. There are also pastries and cakes that can be enjoy with your drinks. Sweet pastries that we favor is raisins choc chip Danish and for salty we enjoy the sandwiches or cheese croissant.




The atmosphere of the location is very relaxing, there are different shapes of sofas, free Wi-Fi and the lights are usually not that bright. The workers are very friendly and kind; it is a self service place. The price of the Peppermint Chewing Gum is Rp 25,000 and the beverages are average about Rp 30,000.
